Inside the west front underground galleries near the and monumental entrance to mamluk castle (Mamluk, 13th century).
A notrice indicates eight meters beneath the surface of the Lower Court, two long galleries run along the West Front. The North Gallery, approximately 80 meters long) and the South Gallery (approximately 40 meters long) meet at an elegant cross-shaped Chamber, lit by a domed light-well. The two galleries are equipped with arrow-slits in the west wall, which indicates that they served for defence as well as for storage and accommodation.
I do not recall which of the galleries this is.
