This lake, that one may visit when travelling to Sumela Monastery (see my Trabzon Monasteries sub-gallery), is pretty and a well-known destination for tourists, local and from abroad. Earlier people suggested I'd give it some attention, but during my one visit it was rainy and overcast. I hoped some later visit might let me take more spectacular shots, but I never went again. In 2018 I scanned the old slides (1993) and decided that for the time being they should do. Here they are. I show the lake and some of its tributary streams.
