The commemoration/burial stele of abbot Tarasis, who died in 462 AD. The inscription names him as the founder of the monastery. In fact, since the very first building activities here took place in 357 AD, Tarasis’s acting (about 450 AD) was either a re-founding of the convent, either the achievement of Imperial approval.
