I now reach the Lefke gate, which is in good condition. I took lots of pictures there. The gate dates from the first century AD, and an inscription thanks Hadrian for having it restored after an 120 AD earthquake.
It was also the spot where I stopped following the walls. I will probably return some day to "finish the job" (and/or scan some older slides that show what it looked like say ten years ago).
