On the picture: The central part of the iconostasis (= a wall of icons and religious paintings, separating the nave from the sanctuary in a Orthodox church. The nave is the main body of the church where most of the worshippers stand; the sanctuary is the area around the altar, east of the nave, which during liturgical services is only entered by priests and deacons).
The icons on the picture (from left to right): St. George, the patron saint of the Church; the Virgin Mary with Christ as a child; and the icon of Jesus Christ are at placed according to their traditional order in an iconostasis.
The central doors are called ‘Holy Doors’ (also: ‘Royal Doors’, or: ‘Beautiful Gate’).
