These pictures I took near the Istanbul Modern museum (a “must see” in my opinion).
This is the Kiliç Ali Paşa mosque, by Sinan dating from 1580. I have more pictures from it elsewhere on my site. I am running behind in writing captions, there is a fair chance I will be back in Turkey – and return - before I finish.
In front is the Tophane Çeşmesi, one of the most famous baroque fountains, built in 1732 by Mahmut I.
