Looking Northwest from Atakule. Anýtkabir (Atatürk's Mausoleum) and the hill it is built on (Anýttepe) is in the centre. Until recently erecting buildings higher than 5 stories in the vicinity of Anýtkabir was forbidden, to (symbolically) provide Atatürk a clear view of all Ankara (and vice-versa). Notice how this rule is no longer enforced.
