Mersin 112

At the sea front is a park, with some statues and monuments of varying quality.

This one is by Tankut Öktem, I have a deep dislike for this type of peace-monument (I suppose that's what it is) - and am not fond of pigeons to complicate matters - but oh well, ....

I also haven't liked this statue. It is nonsence. What does this girl sembolise? And also rose? Maybe it should be olive branch? It reminds me an old Turkish saying: 'One madman drops a stone into a well, 40 intelligent man couldn't take it out.'

This statue has no relation with japan. The statue sembolizes Freedomship

this is symbolic statue of the friendship between Mersin and a city in Japan.
there is same statue in Japaneese city as well.
