Sultan Abdulhamit ordered these guns from the renowned German Krupp factories to defend the Dardanelles. They could should 276 kilo grenades from a 11,37 meters long barrel. This particular gun (there were two, but one was lost when it dropped into the sea during transport) was dedicated to, and named after, the man who, when the winch broke down, lifted these 276 kilo grenades to the gun at Çanakkale, private Seyyid.
