This is one of a series of pictures near or in the bazaar part, that stretches for miles, is very colourful and "a must". In a warren of streets, on a riased platform, is this mosque. I was informed it is the "Hisar Camii" (hisar meaning fortress). Built in 16th Century. Hisar Camii is the largest mosque in Izmir.
