A representation of a war meeting, Atatürk seated. In some museums they do nice things with this kind of recreation of history. The museum in Ankara at the Atatürk Memorial (anit kabir, see http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/ankara_anit_kabir ) is marvelous, with scenes spanning tens of meters, bringing to life some of the most bitter fighting scenes from the War of Independence. Gnashing my teeth I saw them, and was not allowed to take a picture.
