A representation of a war meeting, Atatürk seated slightly to the right of centre. In some museums they do nice things with this kind of recreation of history. The museum in Ankara at the Atatürk Memorial (anit kabir, see http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/ankara_anit_kabir ) is marvelous, with scenes spanning tens of meters, bringing to life some of the most bitter fighting scenes from the War of Independence. Gnashing my teeth I saw them, and was not allowed to take a picture.
