These friendly looking boys are ceremonial vessels from the sixteenth century BC. Standing 90 cm. I read in the catalogue from the museum that they represent the Storm God, Teshüp in Hittite religion.

Burnished baked clay. Excavated in Hatuşa/Boğazkale (the Hittite capital).
