Anthropomorphic vase

Found in a grave in Bolu.

Cup in the (archaic) shape of a woman. Burial gift. Found in a 8th century BC grave (Phrygian period).

West-Anatolian potters continued the traditional style of making different types of cups using the female form. This type of cup is very widespread.
