This picture I took on my way to the Akdamar church. I took a dolmus from Van to a nearby city and walked some 6 or 7 kilometers to reach the coast. Along the way I ran into an old graveyard with this fine "türbe", a type of monument that one can see all over the country, but particularly in the East. Many are in Ahlat, where there are many, and where one can also see extensive graveyards like the one I show here.

I have been informed these pictures are taken in Gevaş, in Van province.
