This is an enthroned goddess, two large cats on either side of her, she herself is in the process of giving birth. From the sixth millennium BC. From Catalhöyük, one of the earliest cities in the world.
I thought I might stop taking new pictures of this statue, that is almost emblematic for the museum. But in 2019 with a new camera with very good colour rendition and highest resolution I could not resist.
