I visited Turkey shortly before the 2017 referendum, and saw pictures of Erdoğan everywhere. Returning a few months later during Ramadan, there he was again, this time wishing people a good Bayram (the festival at the end of Ramadan) . The text stresses the unity, of Turkey and of those celebrating bayram. A unity that is more wishful thinking than reality, I'd say.
