Figurehead in the form of a lion. From the Ironclad Asar-I Tevfik. When the latter was refitted at the German shipyard HDW in Kiel in 1900-1907 it was left behind. In 1999 it was presented to Turkey. The ironclad was French built, in 1865, 4687 tons with 8 cannon, 450 crew, it served 1870-1913.
