A large tea garden, at the food of a very old ‘cınar’ (plane tree). The name of the square is indeed: ‘Çınaraltı’ (= under the plane tree).

In 2022 I found an article from 2013, claiming the square and its bedesten and more were to be restored. In it the claim was made the tree is 800 years old.
