On the picture: The southeastern corner of the complex, with the dome of the kitchen surrounded by its chimneys (in the center); the chimneys on the left belong to dervish rooms, built on top of the long covered corridor that leads up to the inside.
The general aspect of the complex is Ottoman (late 15th / early 16th century), although it has Byzantine and Seljuk antecedents. The section visible on the picture was built in 1511, after sultan Beyazıt II granted permission to the Bektaşi Order for building a ‘Tekke’ (convent).
