There are eight ovens in the kitchen which provided food to not only the people in the complex but also the poor people around. Evliya Çelebi wrote that water was boiled on two large ovens, and the others were used for cooking. The kitchen is covered with a dome. The chimneys of the ovens are higher than the dome. It is reported that they were built in the period of Yavuz Sultan Selim.
