Having left the mosque we return to the grate behind which the entrance lies. To the right the notice indicates that the entrance you see leads to the Çilehane or Suffering room. It is a small dark place to attain God by purifying from worldly desires and by suffering from pain. This was part of the initiation regime for dervishes.
