There was trhis group of kids who urged me to have their picture taken. We improvised a studio on a doorstep, and then they each would pose. However, each child tended to sit stiffly and a bit uptight, so I suggested I’d take another picture, but that one “gülen” (smiling). The result varied from one chuild to the next. However, the group soon picked up my words so after a few shot the whole crowd would shout “gülen”after they heard the shutter go for the first time.
