Side of the bishop’s palace. It was a palatial construction around an inner court with a peristyle consisting of blue-white marble monoliths. It has been dated in the 3rd century AD, in the early Byzantine period it became the residence for the bishops of Caria.
The stairs to the right lead to the back stage part of the bouleuterion.
