This is inv 849/a, the panel of Perseus and Andromeda. From Samandağı, 2nd – 3rd century AD. Andromeda, who has been freed by Perseus, is holding her mantle with her right hand, and extending her left to him, while Perseus, standing opposite her, is also extending a hand. On the left of the rock and chain where Andromeda was imprisoned and in the centre bottom there appears a strange and rather comical beast.
