One of the oxen that would pull a chariot with a statue of a king or god on it. It is from Domuztepe.
I was informed: This double bull socle also comes from Domuztepe. Local villagers mistook the bull figures for pigs, hence the location got its name (Domuztepe=Pighill). It has two lines of hieroglyphic Luwian text on both sides, but in too poor of a condition to be read. It was a base for a statue, of which only some fragments were found (a hand?).
