This rather ugly shot was taken along the Fevzi Pasha road, which is a busy street at the south side of the Fatih külliye (the complex of a mosque with its surrounding Koran school, soup kitchen, graveyard, hospital and what not). The mosque is up the hill in its back). I don't know the function, now or earlier, of these buildings. The complex is huge.
