On the picture: The northern end of the stadium, and the theater whose (largely collapsed) stage building was also the northern wall of the stadium. The facade facing the stadium was 37 m wide, 19 m in height and decorated (with marble) with two registers of eight large arches separated by columns. On the ground floor six square doorways led into the theater (to the ‘orchestra’/stage, to be precise).
