The Rinku Gate Tower Building was completed in 1996. It has 56 stories. The Ferris Wheel of Rinku Town seen in the background is part of a commercial development built in the 1990's.
Osaka is the second largest metropolitan area in Japan with a population 2.5 million and over 19 million in its greater metropolitan area. It is a major commercial center.
