Stepping-stone path (Garyu-kyo - lying dragon bridge) in a pond at the Heian-jingu Shrine in Kyoto

The stepping-stone path that crosses the water is made from the pillars of a 16th-century bridge.
This garden is typical of those designed during the Meiji Era (mid 1800's to the early 1900's).
