Your Nikon 8800 took this image at 1/2 sec, focus 2.0 and ISO 500
For a shot like this, though the cam has interesting features, you absolutely need to stabilize the cam with a tripod or at least a monopod in such low light conditions.
Stabilizer doesn't do it all and with that shot you were over the limit... reason why you see defects when looking at the original.

Played a bit with this image, cropping on left and top to make the light on the upper left third... then gave a bit light and colors for more punch.
Did that in my learning process like I do sometimes with interesting shots which I delete afterward.

thank you it was 4 am ish or so yesterday and the auto flood light came on as i left to come to the casco library to use the 811b internet.....this is looking back at my house, hand held, sorry thru the wet trees with that flood shing thru... it was just a quick risk of a shot and i like it to esp as it is my mone!!!!!!!! be well is the shot sitting at the nature trail lea?
