Hello February 9

Driving home from work, I spotted some horses in a field and decided to stop. They were intently curious, though wary for a while. Finally this guy was too intrigued by that 'clicking thing' in my hands and stuck his head right over and huffed warm air over my hands and the camera. The others became bolder after that and I got some nice shots.

I think that's what I like about this image, Tor, though I agree it's distorted and another lens would have given a more true image. Cocoa, as I found out yesterday is her name, was the most curious horse I've ever been around. She spotted me near the fence and immediately trotted over. Neither me or the camera concerned her at all. When I snapped this shot, her nose was almost touching the lens - and right after I took it, she huffed a breath of air on it, fogging it up. I couldn't stop laughing.

You should perhaps have used a 85mm lens for this shot. With a wide angle lens this guy's nose just looks too big ;) Cool shot.

Anyone besides me remember Wilbur and Mr. Ed? This brings back quite the memory of that show. A horse is a horse of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course, unless the horse, is the famous Mr. Ed.

Here I commented on another, less extreme, close-up saying how I thought it almost had a fish eye lens look to it. This one...goes all the way. Kudos, peach. ;)

No, no carrots. This was such an unexpected thing ... I thought about it after I left, though, and decided to stop again next time I'm out that way, this time bringing treats.

Really nice... waiting does pay dividends. Well done.

Hey, it looks like you found something interesting afterall. I really love how you shot this horse, the angle that is. How his nose(I know there is another word for that) seems to almost come out of the image. Great job.

That's a nice photo. Made me smile.
