Button Orchid (Dischidia nummularia)

This isn't really an orchid, belonging to the family Apocynaceae (the dogbane family). It is an epiphyte - it grows on tree trunks without its own grounded roots and without being parasitic either.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Fascinating - especially the unique cream colored leaves.

Fantastic! Have not seen anything like this (though I've seen other epiphytes). This is fascinating and beautiful. V
