Thank you to the Miami Springs Historical Museum for displaying this great old image. Close examination of the photo shows a large number of people at the terminal, to the left of the terminal, and to the right side between the cars and the next hangar.
Pan American sold Pan American Field to the Dade County Port Authority in the late 1940's, which combined that field with two military fields to the south to form the present-day Miami International Airport.
