Miami International Airport

C/n 18057/190. Thank you to David Schulman for contributing this great image and granting permission for us to display it on this site.

His photo was taken from Concourse 5 (now Concourse D) and faces southwest towards the west end of Concourse 4 (now Concourse E). Concourse 4 was the airport's only international concourse until the 1970's when two gates on Concourse 3 (now Concourse F) were converted to international capability by National Airlines for their London and other European arrival flights. A Mackey International Airlines DC-6 is visible in the background at gate 54. The airport's 20th Street Ramp Office, where I worked many days in the 1970's is visible on top of Concourse 4 above the Pan Am 720's cockpit.
