There was a great strip club in this area too. Same building, shopping center or within a block or two in the 1970's.

I was a professional musician for over thirty years in South Florida and the Keynote Lounge was my very first professional gig. I recall it was 1971...I was 19 years old and not being able to sit at the bar.

Used to hang out there in 68 . Had a great black group playing there . Used to watch Rip Green kick ass in the parking lot and Joe twist horse shoes inside the bar for free drinks.Great place to meet chicks.

I spent a few bucks at the Key Note. They always had a good group entertaining on the stage above the bar. Jimmy Callahan was the owner at that time. He later committed suicide. Met Becky Loring there, she modeled bikinis for Jantzen. That was usually the first stop on a night out, but never had to go anywhere else. Thanks for the memories.....Bill Skipper.
