Very popular place in 1959-60. Les Leland drove an old green Lincoln, J Duckett a '57 Chevy (black). Good pizza and good place to see and be seen in those years.
I left Miami in 1960 and never got back until a year ago and my advice? Don't ever return to a place after 50 years! Pay attention, any expatriate Cubans out there.
A return will break your heart!!!

The best onion pizza I ever had or will have. Wonderful memories of this place just after I arrived from Cuba in 1960. My cousin Lily would pack all the cousins in her candy apple red 1960 Ford Galaxy on Friday night, and she would treat us all to pizza, the thin crust laded with onion and cheese was my favorite. Thanks for posting this.

My grandparents lived right behind the purple pizza palace when I was growing up. I remember walking over to the restaurant with my grandfather and sitting outside drinking my coke while he had his coffee. Those were the simple days of my life.

Worked here in late 1956 and early 1957 after school, riding a Lambretta motor scooter, delivering pizza's.
Later became a real hangout. Met my wife-to-be here in summer 1962.
We were married Feb. 2, 1963 and are still married.
Was in Miami last week. An office building now resides on this site.
