Liz Strasser was in my 6th grade class at Immaculate Conception School in Hialeah after she and her family escaped over the border from Hungary. I think she was the first girl I ever walked home and that was from where the school bus dumped us off which was near her home. The above photo was taken for her citizenship ceremony in 1963. Liz married my longtime buddy Eric Olson in the late 1980's after meeting him at the Hialeah High Class of 1965 20-year Reunion in the summer of 1985 on Key Biscayne.
