Eastern flight 274 took off from PBI for ATL when they encountered nose gear problems after takeoff. They diverted back to MIA because of Eastern's maintenance facilities at MIA. The nose gear would not extend due to a broken part inside jamming the gear and they slid down runway 12 on the nose. Eastern Captain Wayne Nolan was the pilot.
