Thank you to Bruce Hirsh for posting this image on Facebook. My memory must be wrong but as I recall I thought our Publix opened years before the A&P Supermarket on the other side of the street but the ad for the A&P says 1962 also.

I worked there on the opening day. Was previously working at the Grand Union near Citizens Federal Bank.
