We attempted to attend the annual Coast Guard Day Picnic at Jungle Island on Watson Island but the District's planning committee royally blew it by not having enough parking spaces available for Coasties and their families. We circled the garage two or three times, from floor to floor, with a good number of other cars searching for spaces and there were no Coasties assigned to help people park and no guidance from anyone (Coasties or Jungle Island) as to what to do. I didn't want to get towed from the City of Miami parking lot across the street so frustrated by the obvious stupidity I said "screw it!" and we went to Shucker's for lunch, which was undoubtedly less crowded and far less noisy.
