Thank you to Alvin Lederer for contributing this great old image of a very popular open-air shopping center located in unincorporated Dade County surrounded by the city of North Miami Beach. Richard's Department Store is on the western end and Burdine's "Sunshine Fashions" was in the middle of the center. A playground for kids was located in the wide open area due south of Burdine's and is clearly visible in this photo.
