This is LONG before my time, but my best guess is that this is the restaurant I am looking for. If anyone has anything at all related to this restaurant, please reach out to me. I believe this may be the restaurant my grandfather (Everett Collins) owned and I'd love to see anything that may still be around to show my mother.

I worked there as a part-time busboy in late 60s: set tables, poured water for diners, cleaned up after them. I served Ted Williams several times. And I remember Ken the piano player who also played the organ at the ABA Miami Floridians basketball games. At the time Flame was owned by a Miami atty named Collins; don't remember much about him, although daughter sometimes did hostess duty. Last I heard the restaurant was acquired by 'Roberto', who was my boss, along with another busboy (Humberto???). It was a popular place, kind of a suburban 'movers & shakers' spot with lots of regulars and a busy bar. Also good tippers. rb

We ate there often. Great steaks and pickled watermelon rind.

My father was the piano bar musician and didn’t read music only played by ear. . He played there over 20 years. Ken Williams was his name

My Father was the chef at this restaurant, Ted Williams used to stop at this restaurant on the way to the keys, he would order a double order of Lamb Chops.

I am assuming that Suniland, currently, is basically the same strip center, with a new facade. This address is now a Flanigan's Restaurant, with possibly some of the same window placement.

My mother and her dates would takes us to dinner there. The Flame really treated kids well because they had a special way of making sundaes in which I got to ladle the ingredients onto the ice cream. They also had a deep wishing well outside loaded with cast off change.
