I was born in Miami in NOV of 1944, and I recall, in the mid-1950s this round building was painted orange and called the Orange Julip, and dispensed orange juice. Later, it was sold and became the Pizza Palace, and at the time, 1958, I lived right across the street from it in SW 8th St., at 860 SW 31st Ave, and I attended Auburndale Elementary School several blocks away. The Pizza Palace was a hang out for high school kids who would park in the back rows and cavort. -- Ron Card, VA.

The shape of the building resembles an orange, as does the sign. Perhaps related to that?

Does anyone know what that building was, before becoming a pizza place? Very unique design.
