Fred Zimmerman was my buddy Bob's father who I knew from 8th grade onward after the Zimmerman's bought the Mosely home next door to the Sullivan family on W. 11th Avenue. Fred was an aircraft engine mechanic and he worked at one of the aircraft engine overhaul businesses (Aerodex or was it ACES?) in the old MIAD area on the west side of Miami International Airport. He always treated me nicely even if he was pissed off as hell at Bob or Bob's sister Jackie at the time, hahaha, which is something I admired.

After Fred's wedding we had a wild ass poker game at Bob's house where we spent half the night as I recall.
