MIA was celebrating it's 60th Anniversary since the establishment of Pan American Field on a small portion of what eventually became Miami International Airport and the ladies from the Public Service section were in dresses from the 1920's. It was a great celebration with many bands from the Caribbean and South America playing music in the terminal and people dancing and a large static display of aircraft that the public could climb in out on the airfield on the Techniport ramp. Thank you to Marcia Fernandez-Morin for sending me this great photo.
