Thank you to Alvin Lederer for contributing this old postcard image. Alvin says: "A friend of mine was born in the McAllister Hotel and later moved to 14th St. and Biscayne Boulevard. but he didn't like living there because the trolley turned around at 12th Street and he had to walk two blocks to catch the trolley. He said Miami went north to 36th Street. and west to where the land met the Miami River. It was a very small town he said and he wanted for nothing. when I asked him how how good the fishing was, he just laughed."
