Early 1960's - the Golden Steer Steakhouse with "Goldie Star of TV" out front

NE corner of Biscayne and NE 130th Street, Miami, Florida

Thank you to Stan Meade for contributing this great old image. Thank you Bob (comments below) for identifying the correct exact location. Bob also says: "The American/Amoco/BP gas is still across the street on the SE corner. Woody's is visible (to the north) under the Come As You Are on the reader board. This restaurant was renamed the Cupboard SteakHouse by 1963. As a kid, I was walking past to Woodys one day and they were changing the Fluorescent tubes in the (Come As you are) reader board and had a few laying on the ground. I jumped on them and broke a few (& ran like hell)."

Thanks Bob! I changed the location and added your comments to add some flavor to the photo. : ) I don't know what it is with little boys and fluorescent light tubes but I broke a few myself when they were building the Palm Springs Village shopping center in Hialeah (and also ran like hell).

This is the NE corner of Biscayne Blvd and NE 130 ST. The American/Amoco/BP gas is still across the street on the SE corner.
