1960's - Crown Burger

Flagler Street, Miami, Florida

Thank you to Stan Meade for contributing this great old image. In the background are the Flagler Apartments (great zoning!) with an address that looks like 19__ something. Does anyone know exactly where this was? It appeared to be popular, at least right after school let out judging from the students in front.

I am unable to read all comments. My father, Sydney Kandel, built two Crown Burgers. This his photo, courtesy of Stan Meade, was the Miami High School location. The other restaurant was on the Trail at Segovia, next to the tiny BBQ place just east of Le Jeune Rd. I worked there while attending Gables High School at $1 per hr. Awesome times.

There used to be a Crown Burger on NW 7th St around 24th Ave, near Miami High.

If memory serves me right, it's on Coral Way...photo by the late Robert M. Kelley... part of the Seth and Myrna Bramson Collection... formerly owned by me.
