Miami International Airport, Florida

The giant An-124 was parked nose to nose with an United Airlines B747-400 on the east side of Concourse A to provide a nice visual backdrop under the lights to all the VIP's and guests attending the grand opening party for the first phase of Concourse A.

Jeff, there is actually another aircraft that is larger and it is the An-225 which I shot at MIA in February 2010. Photos are at the bottom of this same gallery and at the bottom of the Aviation gallery athttp://www.pbase.com/donboyd/memories_aviation

Don, The picture of the 727 takink off into the sunset was remakable. The Russian Antonov 124(worls largest jet) is a remarkable piece of engineering. How sophisticated is the cocpit ? I remember we paid the Russians to fly our surveillance aircraft forced down in China out of there as a C5A could not handle the job. Jeff
